Peppermint essential oil

Peppermint essential oil (Peppermint essential oil) is extracted from the stems and leaves of the mint plant. It can be extracted by various methods such as: Steam distillation, cold pressing, CO2. Peppermint essential oil has a pale yellow color and a characteristic cool scent.

It can be said that mint is an herb that has been used for a long time in many civilizations around the world. Greek mythology, folk remedies of Japan, China, and the Egyptian pyramids all contain evidence related to this plant.

Today essential oils are in common use all over the world. It is commonly used to fight nausea, improve digestive health, relieve muscle pain, and are a natural antibacterial agent.

Ingredients of menthol

Its chemical ingredients include: menthol, menthone, 1,8-cineole, methyl acetate, methofuran, isomenthone, limonene, b-pinene, a-pinene, germacrene-d, trans-sabinene hydrate, and pulegone.

In which, the two main ingredients with the highest activity are:

  1. Menthol: 50-60%
  2. Menthone: 10-30%
